Products Description

Impregnated activated carbon is mainly divided into two categories: anti-toxic activated carbon and catalytic activated carbon. They are widely used in the fields of protection and catalysis because they are impregnated with different chemical substances to enhance specific functions.

Impregnated Activated Carbon

Activated carbon is impregnated with different impregnating agents, which can be used in different special applications for adsorption of target pollutants or chemicals. Common impregnating agents are KOH, KI, KMnO4, Ag, etc.,

Impregnated activated carbon is activated carbon that is injected into specific solutions, chemicals, or metal, through which the adsorption properties of the activated carbon are significantly enhanced. Activated carbon is a porous material with a large number of micropores and mesopores that provide a large specific surface area, giving it excellent adsorption properties for gases, liquids, and solute molecules. By impregnating activated carbon, the properties of the activated carbon can be altered to give it stable adsorption properties for specific applications.

When selecting an activated carbon impregnating agent, it depends on the type of target pollutant to be removed and the desired functionality or enhancement. For different pollutants, using different impregnating agents, activated carbon has a stronger adsorption or chemical reaction ability to the target pollutant, improving treatment efficiency. At the same time, we have to consider the pH value of the medium and choose the impregnating agent that is compatible with the conditions, otherwise it will destroy its acid-base environment.
