Products Description
Platinum carbon has stable chemical properties, high selectivity and activity, long life, and can be recycled more than dozens of times in the same system. Its preparation method usually includes heating an aqueous solution of activated carbon and chloroplatinic acid in a 50°C water bath for several hours, cooling it with sodium carbonate to make the solution alkaline, then reducing chloroplatinic acid with hydrazine hydrate, and finally filtering, washing and drying to obtain the catalyst.
Application fields and specific applications
Platinum carbon is widely used in pharmaceuticals, electronics, petrochemicals, and fine chemicals. Specific applications include:
Organic synthesis: used for dehydrogenation reactions, aromatic ring hydrogenation reactions, hydrogen peroxide decomposition, gas purification, etc. Hydrogenation reaction: catalyzes the hydrogenation reaction of olefins, alkynes, oximes, nitriles, phenols, naphthalene, pyridine, benzene, alcohols, aromatic and aliphatic aldehydes, nitroaromatic compounds, etc..
Oxidation reaction: catalyzes the oxidation reaction of hydrocarbons, CO and NH3, etc..
Dehydrogenation reaction: catalyzes the dehydrogenation reaction of cyclohexane, cyclohexene, cyclohexanol, cyclohexanone, alkanes, alcohols, etc..
Reduction reaction: catalyzes the reduction reaction of nitrogen oxides.
